Choosing a smudge stick
Smudging is the practice of burning dried herbs or wood to create a calm, intentional atmosphere. People smudge before meditation or prayer, when moving into a new home, or to mark a fresh beginning. White sage has a sharp herbal aroma, and we carry white sage smudge sticks blended with sweetgrass or Dragon’s Blood. For a plain sage bundle, choose a small bundle to start, a large sage bundle for a bigger space, or a sage torch bundle.

A smudge stick is any tied bundle of herbs for smudging, and a sage bundle is one made from sage. We carry small and large sage bundles, a sage torch bundle, loose sage, and sticks that blend white sage with sweetgrass or Dragon's Blood.
How do I burn a smudge stick safely?
Light the tip, let the flame go out so it smolders, and hold it over a heat-safe dish or abalone shell to catch the ash. Never leave it unattended, keep it away from children, pets and fabric, and put it out fully when you finish.
