Most of our herbal teas are boxed tea bags, such as chamomile, peppermint, hibiscus, dandelion and red raspberry, in 24-bag boxes. We also carry soursop tea, including loose soursop leaves. As an herbal tea shop on Fulton Street, we keep the steeping directions on each package, so follow them: the chamomile label says to steep one bag in 6 to 8 ounces of boiling water for 4 to 6 minutes.
Browse the full teas department, our herb shop page for loose herbs, or ourtonics and bitters. If you are pregnant, nursing or taking medication, ask your doctor or pharmacist before using herbal teas.Monique explains how to make herbal tea at home.

Herbal teas: Questions
What herbal teas does Nicholas Brooklyn carry?
We carry boxed tea bags in chamomile, peppermint, hibiscus, dandelion, red raspberry and Pau D'Arco, plus soursop tea, including loose soursop tea leaves. Stock changes, so this page lists what is available now. Ask in the shop if you are looking for a particular tea.
How do I brew chamomile tea?
The package directions for our Comfy Chamomile Tea say to steep one tea bag in 6 to 8 ounces of boiling water for 4 to 6 minutes, stirring occasionally while it steeps. Each box holds 24 tea bags. Always follow the directions printed on the package you buy.
How do I brew hibiscus tea?
The label on our hibiscus tea says to use one bag per 6 to 8 ounces of water that has just started to boil, stir, and steep for 3 to 4 minutes. For iced hibiscus tea, brew it hot first, let it cool, then add ice.
Do you sell loose leaf herbal tea or tea bags?
Both. Most of our herbal teas are boxed tea bags, and we also carry loose soursop tea leaves. For loose herbs and roots, see our herb shop page. Each product page says what you are getting, so check it before you order.
Where can I buy herbal teas in Brooklyn?
At Nicholas Brooklyn, 1396 Fulton Street in Bed-Stuy, open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm and Sunday from 12 pm to 7 pm. Walk-ins are welcome, and our team can help you choose a tea.
Do you ship herbal teas?
Yes. Nicholas Brooklyn ships nationwide, so you can order herbal teas online and have them sent to you. The shipping policy page explains how shipping works, so please read it before you check out, or call (718) 858-4400.
