Still here and full of action

Hey fellow internet browsers! It has been some time since our last post, but rest assured we are busier than ever. We have been working on a new site to provide you with the latest at Nicholas. A store with so much to offer, it takes some careful organizing to get it just right. We thank everyone who has been able to stop in and share the experiences of life with us. With Summer upon the horizon, it will be quite a pleasure to bring you a multitude of events the whole family can enjoy.

Mr. Loving has been working with pyramid structure for nearly 50 years now and has always been willing to share his vast knowledge to those who are willing and able to learn.

As the world already knows-- the pyramids are one of the main wonders of the world. Scientists to this day are still wondering what their purpose was on earth. Well, if you haven't experienced one of Mr. Loving's workshops then you should come and learn about our ancient science and apply it to your life through gardening and cultivation.

She's usually behind the scenes and wearing many hats (tree jobs mon) lol, but she's ever present. Those who know her, know that her devotion to the arts and her people are truly undying.

On October 22, 2011 - (16th National Day of Protest to Stop Police Brutality, Repression and the Criminalization of a Generation)
Full Life Ahead & Supreme Design Publishing will be presenting
The documentary: The Ballot Or The Bullet.

Synopsis: The Ballot or The Bullet follows Hip Hop group A-Alikes for the three months leading up to the 2008 Presidential Election. Seen for the first time is a rear view of the optimism, pessimism, despair and hope felt by the disenfranchised of Urban America. 
The film features the perspectives of Chuck D, actress Joy Bryant, Ilyasah Shabazz, dead prez, Poppa Wu, Rosa Clemente, Immortal Technique and more. 
The audience has the unique opportunity to enter a time machine in order to analyze themselves and pre-election expectations of the United States’ first black President – four years wiser.

The film will be followed by a Q&A and Panel Discussion moderated by Thebrother Victorious. Panel members discuss the making of the film, the principal subject’s current outlook on the Presidency as well as 2012 Projections.

There will be a $5.00 Donation to help recoup costs of production.

Artistic Contribution to the World: SINGER / SONGWRITER / PERFORMER / RECORDING ARTIST



Robin Andre is a Brooklyn-born singer-songwriter. He was signed to RCA records for his debut album “Paper Bag” and has recorded, performed and toured in 32 different countries world-wide with multi-platinum artists such as The Dave Matthews Band, The Fugees, Mariah Carey, Lil Flip and Inaya Day. His solo work is a tight blend of rock, hip-hop and reggae sensibility. His newest hit-sensation single, “Betty,” is featured on itunes and he recently completed filming the colorful and funky music video by director, Jose Infante. Robin Andre, a natural entertainer, has also starred in off-broadway musical theater productions, and worked as a commercial actor and professional dancer. He writes, performs and tours solo as well as in the duo “The Robin and the Lady Poet” and also can be seen performing live every week in his hometown with the iconic house band at the legendary “Village Underground” in Greenwich Village, NYC.

Artistic Contribution to the World: POET / AUTHOR / EDUCATOR / PERFORMER



Erica is the author of “Dialect of a Skirt.” She is a writer and performer and a graduate of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She received her MFA in Poetry from The New School. Her work has been published in numerous journals and magazines and she has facilitated workshops and seminars at Cooper Union School of the Arts, New York University, Columbia University and Penn State University. She has worked on projects as a writer, editor and performance director for The New York Knicks, HBO and Nickelodeon Television. Erica has been awarded a writer’s residency at the Omega Institute, has been a featured and/or visiting poet/performer for drug rehabilitation centers, prisons and hospitals. Her first book, “Dialect of a Skirt,” was included on the list for: The Best Books of 2009 at About.com and made the Small Press Distribution’s bestseller list for June 2010 as well as the Poetry Foundation’s bestseller list for October 2010. She is currently a spoken word mentor and curriculum writer for Urban Word NYC, a non-for-profit organization dedicated to bringing spoken word, poetry and hip-hop arts to inner-city teens. She also teaches Performance Poetry at Pace University, Creative Writing at The School of Visual Arts and a variety of Poetry courses at Baruch College and Hunter College of The City University of New York (CUNY).
